Arad City Hall

Arad City Hall

The Administrative Palace of Arad is a building built between 1872-1876, which today houses the Arad City Hall. The U-shaped, neoclassical town hall is Arad’s most impressive building, with neoclassical and neo-Renaissance influences. The clock atop the 54m-high tower was brought from Switzerland in 1878. The building has 90 rooms which are used as offices for the administrative clerks who, for many decades, and to this day, still work there. The prefect’s and mayor’s offices are also both located and still function from inside the building.
